Dina Hassan

East Asia Translator

Dina Hassan is a PhD candidate in international history at Harvard University. She received her MA from the University of Tokyo, where she researched African American and Japanese intellectual connections in the first half of the 20th century.

Dina has translated Yong-Song Ryang’s “Racism in Japan and ‘The 1952 System’: Japanese Immigration Control Laws and the Rise of the ‘Zainichi Privilege’ Myth”
