Lateral, the peer-reviewed, open-access publishing platform of the Cultural Studies Association, is searching for one or more book review editors. Applications from individuals and pairs or small groups are welcome.
The book review editors report to the co-editors and are responsible for regularly curating and producing a section of the journal dedicated to book reviews.
Duties include:
- Requesting books relevant to the field of cultural studies from publishers for review
- Soliciting and communicating with book reviewers
- Editing book reviews for content, style, and grammar
- Communicating regularly with Lateral co-editors
- Ensuring publication of book reviews on a rolling basis throughout the year
