Ikumi Yoshida is a Hong Kong-based Japanese-English translator of novels, poetry, non-fiction, and children’s books. Her recent works include The Pull of the Stars and The Wonder by Emma Donoghue, Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour, and The Little Blue Truck series by Alice Schertle. She has also worked on documentary films and television series as a researcher, coordinator, and dialect coach. She loves birds and poetry. She received her MA from OISE at the University of Toronto.

Ikumi has translated Yong-Song Ryang’s “How Can We Criticize Racism in Japan? Racist Discourse of ‘Zainichi Special Privileges’ as Our Clue” and Hikaru Fujii’s “The ‘Japanese Gaze’ and Racism.”
