Chad Shomura received his PhD from the Johns Hopkins University and will be Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado Denver starting in Fall 2017. He researches and teaches affect, ordinary life, and ecology in the areas of political, queer, and feminist theory and American studies. He is currently working on two major research projects. The first, based on his dissertation, The Bad Good Life, examines how attachments to the good life inhibit the pursuit of social justice.
